INT. BIG TOP OF A GENERIC CIRCUS
The woman comes out dressed in a Jester’s costume.
Woman: The band has played, the clowns have clowned, but look you fools, you’re still around. It is only me standing here now, making you fidget, making you crow. But what will I do to make you stay, hark, here is a fiddle, perhaps I’ll play. No? No more fiddling for you today? You want to take your sweethearts home to the hay? “Shut up!”, you’ll scream, get off the stage! Every word you utter causes delay. There are bedrooms and bathrooms and diners and bars, walkers and scooters and trucks and cars. If only she would stop and bid us adieu? Alas my friends, I’m stuck here with you. For the end that you saw, the one that went BOOM! It filled up the whole circus, not just this room. It was an end and a beginning, all at once done. And now that the circus is over, it’s time for me to have my fun.
