So I'm happy to say that everyday this week Sunday through Saturday has something marked on my calendar. It isn't all necessarily work, but it is nice to be planned busy.
Catching you up, Tuesday I had a first meeting with a friend of an SF friend named Kory. Cool guy who gave me lots of insight into the various scenes in LA. The best part about him was that he was about where I am at as far as finding a balance between having fun and doing work. I moved to LA because I really wanted to do something with my life and Kory did the same thing about 7 years ago, coming from the bay area as well, so he was full of good advice.
Wednesday was a fitting for Captain America. I got a role as a 1940s reporter. Nothing big, just a featured extra bit, but should be great to be on the big set and I'm psyched that it is this movie. Plus the costume is lots of fun; pinstripe suit, suspenders, bow tie, hat, fun fun fun!
Today I met up with my friend Amanda and had another great talk. I've been reading Buddha's Brain and doing my meditation so I was actually in a really good space when meeting up with her for once. I told her about Buddha's Brain and we discussed that and another book she was reading that dealt with similar brain physiology. I also showed her the L-Tyrosine supplement that I've been taking. It is too early for me to see results, but I'm excited by the prospect. For those of you that don't know, L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that is needed for producing dopemine.
Tomorrow I have a (friend?) date with a woman named Ashley that I met on OKCupid. Funny thing is that I actually haven't been on OKC in a long time. Ashley responded to a email I had sent about a month ago looking for new friends in the LA burning man community. We have emailed a few times back and forth and texted, and she seems pretty cool, so I'm looking forward to hanging out with her.
Saturday will be the shoot for Captain America. I have no information about it so far, so can't say much, but I will let you know how it turns out...
